Where does Princess Cruises sail in 2027–2028?

The 2027–2028 Princess Cruises season concentrates its sailings across Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and Polynesia, with a strong programme of transpacific voyages connecting the region to the wider world. Whether you are after a short coastal break or a grand multi-week voyage, there is a sailing here to suit. Fares start from A$374 pp*.

Which ports do these sailings leave from?

The majority of sailings depart from Australian ports, so for many travellers there is no international flight involved at all — just a drive, a train or a short domestic hop to the pier. The main embarkation ports are:

  • Sydney — the largest programme, covering coastal Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific routes
  • Brisbane — a strong mix of short and longer sailings heading up the coast and into the Pacific
  • Adelaide — a convenient start point for coastal itineraries around southern Australia
  • Perth (Fremantle) — home port for Sapphire Princess during the 2027–28 season, opening up western Australian departures
  • Auckland — the gateway for New Zealand sailings, ideal if you are flying in from the east coast or abroad
  • Singapore — the starting point for transpacific voyages heading into Australian waters

If you are local to whichever port your sailing departs from, you can board the same day with no airport at either end. If you are travelling from another state, a short domestic flight connects you — we can book that too, along with a hotel the night before and transfers to the pier, all on the one booking.

The one-way itineraries — and more than half the sailings are one-way — finish in a different city from where they start. That can work beautifully: fly one way, cruise the other, and see two ports for the price of one trip. Our team can piece together the whole journey, including the return domestic flight, so you are never left to figure out the logistics alone.

What regions does Princess Cruises cover in this season?

Close to home — Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific

The biggest share of sailings stays in Australian waters, with coastal itineraries that take in the eastern seaboard and the west coast alike. If you have never done a Princess cruise around Australia, this season has some of the most varied options yet — including rare full circumnavigation itineraries aboard Crown Princess departing from multiple home ports.

New Zealand sailings pair well with the Australian programme: you can cruise across the Tasman from Sydney or Brisbane, explore the New Zealand ports, and either return the same way or continue onwards. Princess also sails into the South Pacific and Polynesia, where the itineraries venture into island groups not served by the bigger ships.

Planning around a specific occasion? There is a strong programme over the Christmas and summer holiday period, as well as sailings timed around Easter 2027 from Sydney. Shorter sailings of around 2 nights work well as a taster; the median voyage runs 14 nights, and the longer options stretch to 96 nights for those who want to make a real journey of it.

The long haul — transpacific crossings

A substantial group of sailings crosses the Pacific entirely, connecting Australian and New Zealand ports to the Americas and Asia. These transpacific voyages start or finish at ports including Singapore and Tokyo as well as Los Angeles and Vancouver. If you have always wanted to sail from one side of the Pacific to the other, Princess does it on a genuine ocean liner scale. We can book the flights and hotels either side so the whole trip comes together as one holiday.

Which ships are sailing in 2027–2028?

Five Princess Cruises ships operate on this season’s programme. Here is what to know about each.

Grand Princess

Grand Princess carries the largest sailing count. On board, the Crown Grill has been named USA Today’s Best Cruise Steakhouse, and Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria anchors the specialty dining alongside it — both worth booking before you board. The MedallionClass® OceanNow® system means you can order food, drinks and services via the Princess app and have them delivered anywhere on the ship. On voyages from Brisbane and Sydney heading up to the Reef, the Movies Under the Stars® poolside screen — with free popcorn and blankets provided — makes for a genuinely good evening at sea.

Grand Princess cabin grades range from a comfortable interior through to a Grand Suite S1 with private hot tub:

  • Inside cabin IA — 14.9 m², positioned on middle decks for minimal motion and easy access to lifts
  • Premium sea view O3 — 19.1 m², floor-to-ceiling panoramic window with unobstructed sea views
  • Premium Balcony cabin B2 — 25.5 m², floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors for an open-plan feel
  • Grand Suite S1 — 67.8 m², the largest suite on board, with a private hot tub

See the full layout on the Grand Princess cabins and deck plans page.

Royal Princess

Royal Princess is known for its SeaWalk — an 18-metre glass-bottomed walkway suspended 40 metres above the ocean. It is one of the most dramatic features on any ship currently sailing, and it is worth a visit even if heights are not normally your thing. MedallionClass OceanNow delivery works the same way as on Grand Princess, and Crown Grill plus Sabatini’s are both on board, alongside the 24-hour International Café for around-the-clock grazing.

  • Inside cabin IA — 15.4 m², with minibar, safe and desk included
  • Sea-view cabin O6 — 20.0 m², large panoramic forward-facing window
  • Deluxe Balcony cabin DA — 23.4 m², private balcony for breakfast or sundowners
  • Penthouse Suite S3 — 54.5 m², aft balcony and the most living space on the ship

Compare layouts on the Royal Princess cabins and deck plans page.

Sapphire Princess — homeporting Fremantle

Following a 2025 refit, Sapphire Princess homeports at Fremantle for the 2027–28 season, which is genuinely good news if you are based in Western Australia — no flight required. The refit added Crown Grill steakhouse and Makoto Ocean Sushi by Chef Makoto Okuwa as new specialty venues. MedallionClass on Sapphire Princess uses a wearable Medallion rather than a phone app, so you can order to any location on the ship without even reaching for your phone. See Princess sailings from Fremantle in 2027 for the full Fremantle programme.

  • Inside cabin IA — 15.6 m², middle deck for quieter conditions and greater stability
  • Premium sea-view cabin O5 — 18.3 m², large panoramic window with a bow view
  • Balcony cabin B2 — 25.7 m², private balcony with direct sea air access
  • Grand Suite S1 — 123.5 m², the largest suite on board with a separate living room and dining area

Full cabin details are on the Sapphire Princess cabins and deck plans page.

Coral Princess

Coral Princess is the explorer of the fleet. At 91,627 GT, its narrower beam lets it reach smaller island ports and tighter waterways that the larger ships cannot access — which matters when the itinerary calls at out-of-the-way Pacific destinations. The Universe Lounge features 3 revolving stages used for cooking demonstrations, cabaret and fashion shows, a combination you will not find elsewhere at sea. Crown Grill, Sabatini’s and The Sanctuary adults-only retreat on the top deck round out the on-board offer.

Browse the Coral Princess cabins and deck plans for grade details.

Crown Princess

Crown Princess had its dining and entertainment refreshed during a 2025 Singapore dry dock — Crown Grill and Sabatini’s both benefited, and the new O’Malley’s Irish Pub and a redesigned casino make the evenings more varied. Crown Princess sails from Sydney, Melbourne, Fremantle and Brisbane, with rare full circumnavigation itineraries among the options. See the Crown Princess cabins and deck plans for the full cabin breakdown.

What fare options are available on Princess Cruises?

Princess Cruises offers 2 main fare tiers on these sailings, plus promotional fare types such as limited-time offers and last-minute deals.

Princess Standard is the base cruise fare — it covers the cruise itself, with beverages, Wi-Fi and crew appreciation available to add on separately via the Princess Plus or Princess Premier packages.

Princess Plus is the more popular choice for most travellers. It includes 4 casual dining meals per voyage, beverages up to A$15 each (with a daily limit of 15 drinks), MedallionNet® Max Wi-Fi, pre-paid crew appreciation, unlimited digital photographs plus 3 prints, and reserved theatre seating. For a 14-night voyage, those inclusions add up to a meaningful saving over paying for each item separately.

Our team can talk you through which tier suits how you cruise — heavy on dining ashore versus eating on board every night makes a real difference to which package works best.

Are there discounts available?

A good number of sailings carry a reduced fare — up to 28% off the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing, though 2 departures reach that maximum and most reduced sailings sit closer to 7% off. It is worth checking individual sailings rather than waiting for a larger discount that may not arrive: the best cabin grades at the best prices go early, especially on popular summer and holiday departures.

Can we book flights, hotels and transfers as well?

Yes — that is exactly what Cruise1st Packages are for. Whether you need a domestic flight to the departure port, an international flight into Singapore or Auckland for a transpacific sailing, a hotel the night before embarkation, or transfers between the airport and the pier, our team can add any or all of it to your booking. You end up with one itinerary, one point of contact and one booking reference for the whole trip. Add tours or travel insurance and it becomes a fully custom holiday rather than just a cruise ticket.

Why book with Cruise1st?

Cruise1st’s Australian cruise experts are on hand seven days a week — before you book, while you are deciding between cabins, and if anything changes afterwards. Our Best Price Guarantee means that if you find the same sailing cheaper elsewhere, we will match it. And because we sell cruises every day, we know which cabin grades sell out first, which fare inclusions genuinely save you money, and which itineraries work best as part of a broader holiday. Browse all available cruises or start with the Princess Cruises Australia hub to see the full fleet.

Planning around a specific season? The 2027 programme from Brisbane and South Pacific sailings from Sydney in 2027 both have dedicated pages with itinerary details. If you are considering the cruise around Australia in 2027 or looking at Brisbane departures in September 2027, those pages go deeper on the specific routes. For the holiday period, see our Christmas cruise 2027 Australia page and the New Year cruises 2028 options. And if you are open to comparing years, the 2026 Sydney programme is still on sale alongside the 2027–28 season.

Also worth a look: Princess Cruises from Brisbane in 2027, Princess Cruises to Tasmania in 2027, and the cruise from Singapore to Australia in 2027 for transpacific travellers flying in from abroad. For the full 2027 cruise market, the cruises 2027 hub covers all lines and all regions.

Also sailing in 2026: the Christmas cruise 2026 Australia programme has itineraries departing before this season opens, and the Princess Cruises New Zealand hub covers the New Zealand fleet year-round.

*Prices are per person based on 2 people sharing, and are subject to change. This price is not kept up to date and therefore does not reflect live pricing and availability. Prices and any discounts shown were checked on 14 October 2026.

Where a discount is shown, it is a reduction from the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing, not a comparison between cabin grades or against a brochure rate. Discounts and prices shown are not kept up to date: the reduction available now may be smaller, or may have ended, and prices may have changed.
