The Chef's Table offers a multi-course tasting menu with sommelier-paired wines, either in the restaurant or in a private dining room; reservations are required and à la carte pricing applies. The Kitchen Table is an interactive culinary experience built around regional ingredients and cooking techniques — confirm at booking whether it is included or carries a reservation fee. Viking Vela's social spaces are designed for unhurried evenings rather than busy nightlife, with live music and panoramic views the consistent thread.

The Living Room sits at the heart of the ship, offering generous seating and live classical music performed by the Viking Resident Musicians — entry is free, with beverages charged separately unless your package covers them. Nearby, the Clinker Bar draws on Nordic longship design to create a distinctive atmosphere for drinks in the main atrium. Torshavn® evokes the golden age of Hollywood jazz lounges and pairs live music with cocktails and premium spirits, with beverages charged separately. The Explorers' Lounge frames the ocean through two-storey panoramic windows and provides a relaxed spot to watch the world pass, while the Atrium offers a central meeting point over cocktails.

For entertainment, The Theater seats up to 450 guests and screens lectures, films and TED Talks on a large format screen; it can also be divided into two HD cinemas, all at no extra cost.

Pools, spa and sports on Viking Vela

Viking Vela carries two distinct pool experiences, a full Nordic Spa, a fitness centre and an open sports deck — most of it included in your fare.

The main pool features a retractable roof for year-round swimming, and doubles as an evening cinema venue with films screened on a large poolside screen. The Infinity Pool — one of the first of its kind at sea — gives the sensation of swimming at the edge of the ocean, with floor-to-ceiling windows, a hot tub and the Aquavit Terrace for evening dining alongside. Both pools are included in your cruise fare.

The Nordic Spa is open to all guests at no charge; individual treatments and classes carry a separate fee. The Fitness Centre provides treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes and free-weight space, with equipment use complimentary and some classes charged separately. The Hair Salon offers cuts, styling and the signature Royal Nordic Hair Ritual, charged separately. On deck, the Sports Deck includes a running track, boccie, mini golf and shuffleboard, with guided yoga classes charged separately.

Cabins and suites on Viking Vela

The Penthouse Veranda Stateroom (PV), at 33.4 m², is among the most spacious outside grades on the ship and comes with a full-size private veranda and direct sea views — sleeping two guests comfortably.

The Explorer Suite (ES2) steps up to 75.1 m² across two rooms, with separate living and dining areas that seat four — making it well suited to guests who want genuine suite living or to host friends aboard.

At the top of the range, the Owner's Suite (OS) spans 134.5 m² — the largest accommodation on Viking Vela — encompassing a separate bedroom, living room, dining area for six and a private library stocked with a wine and music collection. It sleeps up to three guests and is among the most genuinely residential suites at sea.
