Dining on Viking Astrea

Viking Astrea offers a broad spread of dining options, from the included main restaurant to speciality venues that carry a separate charge.

The Restaurant is the main included dining room, set with floor-to-ceiling ocean-view windows and serving regional specialities alongside timeless classics. For a more casual meal, the World Café on Deck 7 Aft runs open kitchens with live cooking and international dishes — including premium sushi and seafood — with indoor seating and direct access to the Aquavit Terrace® for alfresco dining above the water. The Pool Grill on Deck 7 keeps things relaxed poolside, with freshly prepared dishes and a salad bar. Complimentary afternoon tea — finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and international teas, accompanied by live classical music — is served daily in the Wintergarden on Deck 7 Midship.

Mamsen's®, located within the Explorers' Lounge on Deck 7, serves Norwegian specialities from breakfast through to dinner at no extra cost, honouring the Hagen family heritage that runs through the Viking brand. The Aquavit Terrace® itself provides outdoor dining with the destination as backdrop, with more outdoor dining space than any other ship in the fleet.

For special occasions, three speciality venues carry an additional charge or reservation fee. Manfredi's Italian Restaurant® (Aft Deck 1) serves authentic Italian trattoria cuisine with an option of a private dining room. The Chef's Table (Aft Deck 1) offers a multi-course tasting menu with sommelier-paired wines, available in the restaurant or a private dining room. Bars, lounges and entertainment

Viking Astrea's social spaces are designed for relaxed conversation, live music and discovery, and entry to each is included in your fare.

The Living Room sits at the heart of the ship, with generous seating, live classical music from the Viking Resident Musicians and curated activities — beverages and food are charged separately unless covered by your package. The Clinker Bar in the Living Room atrium takes its design cues from ancient longships for a distinctly Nordic drinking atmosphere. Torshavn® channels the golden age of Hollywood jazz lounges, with live music and premium cocktails (beverages charged separately). For a view, the Explorers' Lounge features two-storey panoramic windows framing the open ocean, with Mamsen's® dining available inside. The Atrium provides a central social hub for cocktails and conversation, while the Pool Bar serves drinks and bites poolside.

The Theater seats up to 450 guests for lectures, films, TED Talks and documentaries on a large screen, or divides into two HD cinemas depending on the programme — all included in your fare.

The Nordic Spa and wellness on board

The Nordic Spa offers complimentary access to its sauna and snow grotto, with individual treatments and classes charged separately. The Fitness Centre is fully equipped with treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes and free-weight space; use of equipment is complimentary, though some fitness classes carry a charge. The Sports Deck adds a running track, boccie, mini golf and shuffleboard — guided activities such as yoga are charged separately. Pools on Viking Astrea

Viking Astrea carries two distinct pool experiences. The Main Pool with Retractable Roof is a heated pool available year-round regardless of weather, doubling as an outdoor cinema in the evenings with films screened on a large poolside screen. The Infinity Pool — described as one of the first of its kind at sea — is surrounded by teak decking and floor-to-ceiling windows that create the sensation of swimming within your destination. A hot tub sits alongside, and the adjacent Aquavit Terrace® offers evening dining above the water (food and beverages charged separately at the terrace).

Cabins and suites on Viking Astrea

The Penthouse Veranda Stateroom (PV) at 33.4 m² is the largest cabin in the Veranda tier — a meaningful step up in floor space over the standard Veranda cabin's 26 m², sleeping two guests.

The Explorer Suite ES2 at 75.1 m² is a genuine two-room suite with separate living and dining areas that seat four. At this grade you are in suite territory rather than a large stateroom, sleeping two.

At the top of the ship, the Owner's Suite (OS) spans 134.5 m² across multiple rooms: a separate bedroom, living room, dining area for six, a private library with wine and music collections, an ocean-view dry sauna, and a boardroom with a vapour-light fireplace. It sleeps up to three and is the largest accommodation aboard.
