Emerald Princess Features

The Emerald Princess has a total of 19 decks and 1,539 cabins all packed with the deluxe amenities you’d expect in a first-class hotel, including 24-hour room service and extras such as chocolates on your pillow. For entertainment onboard, there’s always a buzz of excitement and activity—from live theatre to the big screen in “Movies Under the Stars”. There’s also plush lounges, casinos, and nightclubs onboard.

For the days at sea, you can take an enrichment or yoga class, check out the numerous duty-free shopping options, or relax by one of the four pools or seven whirlpool spas. Princess Cruises also cater for families, with special teen programs. and activities to keep the kids entertained.

Emerald Princess Cuisine

Whilst onboard the Emerald Princess, you can choose from the traditional dining times (usually 18:30 or 20:30), anytime dining, speciality dining, or casual dining at the buffet. Traditional dining takes place in the Botticelli dining room, where you dine at the same time every day and are provided with your own waiter throughout your cruise.

Anytime dining means just that—you aren’t limited to a fixed time or place to eat, so you can choose what you eat, when you eat, and where you eat between the Michelangelo dining room or the Da Vinci dining room.

The speciality restaurants are always in demand, as they serve up exquisite local specialities and gourmet favourites, so booking early is a must and these restaurants have a small cover charge. The casual dining option means you can maximize your time by the pool and grab a quick bite to eat whenever you fancy at any of the casual dining eateries including Horizon Court Buffet, Cafe Caribe, the pizza and ice cream bar, or the 24-hour room service.

Sail date: 7.24.2025

Advantages

The best part was the cruise along Prince Christian Sund. Nothing much else in Greenland. Reykjavik was a good stop but that's it.

Weak Points

Too many sea days. Food on board is getting worse. In my recent 4 cruises on Princess, I find that the food is declining in standard.

Advantages

Both Greenland and Iceland were a memorable bucket list experience.

Weak Points

All excursions are expensive, as also the compulsive tipping. Drinks package not worth paying for.
