Bars, lounges and entertainment

The social heart of the ship is The Living Room, a calm, generously furnished space where Viking's Resident Musicians perform live classical music and curated activities fill the day — entry is free, with beverages and food charged separately unless your package covers them. Adjacent to it, the Clinker Bar (listed as the Bar in the Living Room atrium) draws on Nordic longship design to create a distinctly atmospheric setting for drinks.

Torshavn® brings a golden-age jazz lounge atmosphere, complete with live music and cocktails, and is open to all guests. For a grander perspective, the two-storey panoramic windows of the Explorers' Lounge frame the ocean as you settle in — beverages are charged separately here too. The Atrium works as a central meeting point, relaxed and open, ideal for a drink before dinner.

The Theater seats up to 450 guests and programmes lectures, films and TED Talks on a large screen; the space can also be divided into two HD cinemas depending on the evening's schedule. Admission is included in your fare.

Pools, spa and fitness

Viking Libra carries two pools worth knowing about. The Main Pool is heated and fitted with a retractable roof, making it usable in any weather and doubling as a poolside cinema in the evening. The Infinity Pool is one of the first of its kind at sea, with floor-to-ceiling windows that dissolve the boundary between ship and ocean; a hot tub sits alongside the teak surround, and the adjacent Aquavit Terrace takes over at dinner.

The Nordic Spa is open to all guests at no access charge — individual treatments and classes carry a separate fee. The sauna and snow grotto are the standout features. The Fitness Centre provides treadmills, elliptical machines, exercise bikes and free-weight space; equipment use is complimentary, though some classes are charged. The Sports Deck adds a running track, boccie, mini golf and shuffleboard in the fresh air; guided yoga sessions carry a separate fee.

A Hair Salon rounds out the wellness offering, with wash, cut and styling services including the Royal Nordic Hair Ritual, all charged separately.
