Where do Celebrity cruises in this region go?

Celebrity Cruises concentrates its Australia-region sailings across 5 destinations: coastal Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Polynesia, and combined Australia-and-New-Zealand itineraries. Australia and New Zealand account for the largest share of departures, making this one of the most accessible ways for Australians to cruise — often with no international flight involved at all. If you are based near a departure port, you can board the ship and be at sea the same day; from another state, a short domestic hop is all it takes. A smaller number of sailings depart from or arrive into Singapore or Honolulu, and for those we can arrange flights, hotels either side, and transfers as part of a Cruise1st Package.

Which regions can I sail to?

The breadth of Celebrity Cruises sailings in this part of the world is one of the line’s real strengths. Here is where the itineraries take you:

Australia

Australia is the most popular destination in the Celebrity programme here, with sailings that hug the coastline and call at ports along the east coast and beyond. Most of these depart from Sydney, so if you are in New South Wales you can board without a flight. From other states, a short domestic connection gets you there. Trips run from a long weekend up to nearly 3 weeks — the median sailing is 12 nights, long enough to settle into the ship’s rhythm properly. If you want to explore more of Australia’s coast, take a look at options for a full cruise around Australia.

New Zealand

New Zealand is the second-biggest slice of the programme, with sailings that take in the country’s dramatic scenery from the sea. A number of these are one-way voyages — the ship travels between Sydney and Auckland, or the reverse, so the voyage ends in the other city and a domestic or short-haul flight connects you home. We can book that return leg for you, along with any hotels you need either side, so nothing is left to work out separately. Christmas sailings to New Zealand are also popular — if that appeals, our Christmas cruises to New Zealand page is worth a look.

South Pacific and Polynesia

For something further afield, the South Pacific and Polynesia offer a different pace entirely — island-hopping itineraries that pass through some of the most remote and rewarding waters in the world. These tend to be longer sailings and suit travellers who want to genuinely get away from it all. The Australia and New Zealand combined itineraries bridge the two countries in a single voyage, ideal if you want to see both without doubling back.

Which ships sail these routes?

2 ships carry the Celebrity programme in this region. Both are worth knowing about before you choose.

Celebrity Edge

Celebrity Edge operates the largest share of these sailings and is one of the most talked-about ships in the Celebrity fleet. Its most striking feature is the Magic Carpet — the world’s first cantilevered floating platform, which rises 16 storeys up the hull and serves at different times as a bar, a restaurant, and a dive platform for tenders. It is the kind of thing you notice from the pier, and it changes how the ship connects with the destinations it visits.

The Infinite Veranda staterooms are worth seeking out if you are choosing your cabin: the entire balcony wall opens, merging the interior with fresh ocean air rather than separating them with glass and a railing. And in the evenings, Le Petit Chef delivers a 3D animated dinner experience unlike anything else at sea, while Eden — a three-level live-performance venue — gives the entertainment a scale that smaller ships simply cannot match.

If you are choosing a cabin on Celebrity Edge, the grades available include:

  • Deluxe Inside (DI) — 18.8 m², sleeping up to 4; around 2 m² more spacious than standard inside cabins, with a larger bathroom and more storage
  • Deluxe Ocean-view (DO) — 22.1 m², sleeping up to 4; the most spacious ocean-view grade on the ship, with around 3–4 m² more floor space than the standard ocean-view category
  • Sunset Veranda Stateroom (SV) — 21.2 m² of living space, sleeping up to 4; notable for its balcony, which at approximately 8.3 m² is the largest of any standard balcony cabin on the ship
  • Iconic Suite (IC) — 239.8 m², sleeping up to 6; the largest suite in the entire Celebrity fleet, with 270° panoramic views from its position above the bridge, plus a private hot tub

Celebrity Solstice

Celebrity Solstice underwent a significant revitalisation in 2026, and the changes are tangible. The dining line-up now includes Fine Cut Steakhouse, Trattoria Rossa for handmade pasta, and a redesigned Chef’s Table by Daniel Boulud — three distinct dining experiences that give the ship a different character at dinner each night. The Retreat suite sanctuary and AquaClass wellness cabins sit at the premium end of the cabin range, with exclusive access to Luminae and Blu restaurants for guests in those categories.

On deck, the Sunset Park venue, Boulevard Lounge Dueling Pianos and the Rockumentary show — all part of the post-refit entertainment — make evenings aboard genuinely varied. If you are weighing up cabin options on Celebrity Solstice, here is what the grades offer:

  • Inside cabin (I1) — 17.0 m², sleeping up to 4; positioned on higher decks, with shorter routes to the pools and bars
  • Panoramic Ocean-view (PN) — 22.7 m², sleeping up to 4; floor-to-ceiling glass gives a significantly wider field of view than standard ocean-view windows
  • Deluxe Veranda (DV) — 19.1 m² of living space, sleeping up to 5; approximately 1 m² larger than standard balcony cabins, offering a little more comfort without the jump to a larger veranda category
  • Penthouse Suite (PS) — 156.1 m², sleeping up to 4; the largest suite on board, more than 4 times the space of a standard balcony cabin, with a private hot tub

Where do these sailings depart from?

The majority of Celebrity sailings in this region leave from Sydney, which makes them straightforward to reach for travellers along the east coast — board the ship without an international flight, or catch a short domestic connection from another state. A smaller number depart from Auckland, and a handful leave from Singapore or Honolulu. For any sailing that starts outside Australia, our team can arrange the flights, pre-cruise hotels, and transfers so the whole trip travels on a single booking. Sydney round-trips return to the same port, while one-way voyages — particularly those running between Sydney and Auckland — end in the other city, with a domestic or short-haul flight to bring you home. We sort that too.

Are there any deals on Celebrity cruises to Australia?

Prices for Celebrity Cruises sailings in this region start from A$618 pp*, with reductions of up to 18% on selected departures — though that maximum applies to a single sailing, and most reduced fares are closer to 6% off the price previously listed for that cabin grade. Sailings range from short coastal breaks of 3 nights to voyages of 19 nights, so there is a length to suit most budgets and itineraries. Cruise1st’s Best Price Guarantee means that if you find the same sailing cheaper elsewhere, we will match it. Fare types such as early-saver and last-minute offers come and go throughout the year, so it is worth speaking to one of our Australian cruise experts — available seven days a week — to check what is current.

Why book your Celebrity cruise with Cruise1st?

Cruise1st is a cruise specialist — every booking is a cruise or a cruise-inclusive package, which means our team knows this product in a way a general travel agent simply does not. Our Australian cruise experts are on the phone seven days a week, and they can help you compare cabin grades, fare inclusions, and sailing lengths before you commit. The Best Price Guarantee backs that up: you get our keenest price without having to shop around.

If your sailing starts or ends outside Australia — in Singapore or Honolulu, for instance — we can wrap the flights, hotels, tours, transfers and insurance into a Celebrity cruise package that travels as a single booking, so nothing falls through the gap between legs. And for those sailing round-trip from Sydney, we can still add a pre-cruise hotel, transfers to the pier, and any tours you want to book in advance. Browse all available Celebrity sailings in this region or call us to talk through the options.

Other cruise lines sailing Australia and the Pacific

Celebrity is not the only line covering these waters. If you are comparing options, Royal Caribbean Australia cruises, Holland America Australia cruises, and Norwegian Cruise Line Australia cruises all offer sailings across similar regions. Silversea Australia cruises suit travellers looking for a smaller, more intimate ship. If you are departing from Sydney specifically, our Australia cruises from Sydney page brings together options across all lines — or take a look at Sydney round-trip cruises if you want to start and finish in the same port. For sailings that begin further afield, Singapore to Australia cruises are also listed. If you are flexible on timing, Easter 2027 cruises from Sydney and cheap cruises from Sydney are both worth exploring alongside the Celebrity programme.

*Prices are per person based on 2 people sharing, and are subject to change. This price is not kept up to date and therefore does not reflect live pricing and availability. Prices and any discounts shown were checked on 14 October 2026.

Where a discount is shown, it is a reduction from the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing, not a comparison between cabin grades or against a brochure rate. Discounts and prices shown are not kept up to date: the reduction available now may be smaller, or may have ended, and prices may have changed.
