The Restaurant is the main dining room, included in your cruise fare, serving regional specialities and timeless classics behind floor-to-ceiling windows as the riverbanks scroll past. For casual meals between time ashore, the Pool Grill on Deck 7 offers freshly prepared dishes and a salad bar, also included in your fare. The World Café, also on Deck 7 Aft, runs open kitchens with live cooking and an international spread, and you can take your plate out to the Aquavit Terrace® and dine with the river as your backdrop.

The Wintergarden midship on Deck 7 serves complimentary afternoon tea — finger sandwiches, fresh scones and pastries alongside classical music from the resident musician. Mamsen's®, tucked inside the Explorers' Lounge, brings Norwegian specialities at no extra cost from breakfast through to dinner.

For something more special, The Chef's Table offers a multi-course tasting menu with sommelier-matched wines and requires a reservation — a separate charge applies. Manfredi's Italian Restaurant® on Aft Deck 1 operates on an à la carte basis. And The Kitchen Table on Deck 1 Aft is an interactive culinary experience built around local Egyptian ingredients and techniques — confirm at booking whether it is included or charged separately on your chosen fare.

Bars, lounges and entertainment

The social heart of the ship is The Living Room, where Viking's Resident Musicians play live classical music and complimentary seating is always available — beverages are charged separately unless your package covers them. The jazz-inspired Torshavn® lounge is the place for cocktails and live music in an atmosphere that echoes the golden age of Hollywood's great clubs.

For wider views, the two-storey panoramic windows of the Explorers' Lounge frame the Nile and the Egyptian landscape beyond. The Atrium functions as a central meeting point, and the Clinker Bar within the Living Room atrium carries a Nordic longship-inspired design that makes it one of the more distinctive drinks settings on the river.

The Theater seats up to 450 and screens lectures, films and TED Talks; the space can be divided into two HD cinemas depending on the programme. Admission is included in your fare.

Pools, spa and keeping active

Viking Thoth carries two pools. The Main Pool with Retractable Roof is heated and designed for year-round use — when evenings are warm enough, films play on the large poolside screen under an open sky. The Infinity Pool is among the first of its kind on any river ship: floor-to-ceiling windows dissolve the boundary between the water and the river outside, and a hot tub adds to the atmosphere. The Pool Bar is within easy reach of both.

The Nordic Spa is complimentary to enter; individual treatments are charged separately. The sauna and snow grotto make it a genuine recovery space after long days at the temples. The Fitness Centre is open to all guests at no charge, equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines and exercise bikes alongside free space for yoga and pilates. Up on the Sports Deck, a running track shares space with boccie, mini golf and shuffleboard — guided yoga classes on deck carry a separate fee.
