Viking Hathor offers six distinct places to eat, spanning everything from a sweeping main restaurant to a casual poolside grill.

The Restaurant is the ship's main dining room, included in your cruise fare, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame the passing riverbanks as you work through regional specialities and timeless classics. One deck above, World Café operates open kitchens with live cooking and international dishes — dine inside or step out onto the Aquavit Terrace®, which positions your meal directly above the water with the Egyptian landscape as its backdrop, also at no extra charge.

For lighter moments, the Pool Grill on Deck 7 offers casual poolside lunches and a salad bar, included in your fare, while the Wintergarden on Deck 7 Midship serves complimentary afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, scones and classical music beside the pool. Mamsen's®, located within the Explorers' Lounge, brings Norwegian specialities to breakfast, lunch and dinner at no extra cost — a nod to Nordic heritage that feels at home even on the Nile.

If you want a dedicated special evening, Manfredi's Italian Restaurant® and The Chef's Table are both available with reservations; à la carte charges apply. Bars, lounges and entertainment

Viking Hathor's social spaces have been designed around the idea that conversation and curiosity are as much a part of a cruise as the ports themselves.

The Living Room is the social heart of the ship, with generous seating, a calm atmosphere, and live classical music from the Viking Resident Musicians. Directly alongside sits the Bar — the Clinker Bar — styled to evoke Nordic longships and set within the Living Room atrium. Entry to both is free; beverages are charged separately unless covered by your package.

Torshavn® brings an atmosphere reminiscent of a golden-age jazz lounge, with live music and cocktails into the evening (beverages charged). The Explorers' Lounge offers two-storey panoramic windows and a relaxed spot to watch the Nile's banks slip past; Mamsen's® sits within it, so there is always something to eat here too. The Atrium provides a lighter, airier meeting point for pre-dinner drinks.

For entertainment, The Theater hosts lectures, films and TED Talks; it can also be divided into two HD cinemas depending on the programme, and admission is included in your fare.

Wellness and activities on Viking Hathor

The Nordic Spa is open to all guests at no entry charge — access to the sauna and snow grotto is complimentary, while individual treatments and classes carry their own fees. The Fitness Center is equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines and exercise bikes, with open floor space for yoga and pilates; equipment use is free, though some classes are charged separately. For outdoor movement, the Sports Deck provides a running track alongside boccie, mini golf and shuffleboard — guided sessions such as yoga are charged separately.

The Main Pool has a retractable roof for year-round swimming, and screens films on a poolside screen in the evenings. The Infinity Pool is one of the first of its kind on a river ship, with floor-to-ceiling windows creating the impression of swimming at the edge of the landscape. Both are included in your fare. The Hair Salon completes the wellness picture, with styling and the Royal Nordic Hair Ritual available at a charge.
