Dining on Viking Annar

Viking Annar carries six distinct dining venues, ranging from an included main restaurant to speciality experiences where reservations and à la carte charges apply.

The Restaurant is the main dining room, serving regional specialities and timeless classics through floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the passing river. It is included in your cruise fare. For something more casual, the Pool Grill on Deck 7 offers freshly prepared poolside plates and a salad bar — also included. World Café, likewise on Deck 7 Aft, brings open kitchens and live cooking to the table, with international dishes and premium sushi options; you can dine indoors or step out onto the Aquavit Terrace®, the outdoor dining space that puts the riverbank directly behind your meal.

For afternoon breaks, the Wintergarden on Deck 7 Midship serves complimentary afternoon tea — finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and international teas accompanied by classical music. Mamsen's®, tucked inside the Explorers' Lounge on Deck 7, offers Norwegian specialities from breakfast through to dinner at no extra charge.

Two speciality restaurants carry their own charges. Manfredi's Italian Restaurant® replicates an Italian trattoria, with à la carte pricing and the option of a private dining room. The Chef's Table presents a multi-course tasting menu with sommelier-paired wines — reservations are required. The Kitchen Table on Deck 1 Aft offers an interactive culinary experience built around local ingredients and regional cooking techniques; confirm inclusion at the time of booking.

Bars, lounges and entertainment

The social heart of the ship is The Living Room, where generous seating, live classical music from the Viking Resident Musicians and curated activities fill the day and evening. Entry is free; beverages and food are charged separately unless covered by your package.

Torshavn® evokes the golden age of Hollywood jazz lounges, with live music and a menu of cocktails and premium spirits (beverages charged separately). The Explorers' Lounge draws on grand voyage themes and frames the river through two-storey panoramic windows — it is one of the most atmospheric spots aboard for a quiet drink. The Atrium, with its sense of open space, doubles as a central meeting point, while the Bar — the Clinker Bar in the Living Room atrium — takes its design cues from Nordic longships and creates a distinct, textured setting.

The Theater seats up to 450 guests for lectures, films, TED Talks and documentaries, or splits into two HD cinemas depending on the programme. Admission is included in your fare. A full-time Guest Services team is available around the clock for excursion bookings, restaurant reservations and any arrangements ashore.

Pools, spa and sport on Viking Annar

Viking Annar carries two pools: a heated main pool with a retractable roof for year-round swimming and evening poolside film screenings, and an Infinity Pool with floor-to-ceiling windows and a hot tub, one of the first of its kind at sea — both are included in your fare. The adjacent Pool Bar serves cocktails, beers and speciality coffee (beverages charged separately).

The Nordic Spa is an open wellness space, complimentary to enter, with a sauna and snow grotto; individual treatments and classes carry a separate charge. The Fitness Centre is equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines and exercise bikes, plus open space for yoga and pilates — equipment use is complimentary, though some classes attract a charge. The Hair Salon offers washing, cutting, styling and the Royal Nordic Hair Ritual, all charged separately.

On the Sports Deck, guests can choose between a running track, boccie, mini golf and shuffleboard; use is included in the fare, though guided classes such as yoga carry a charge.

• Explorer Suite (ES) — 41.3 m², sleeps 2. The ship's most expansive outdoor perspective: a wraparound veranda with 270-degree views, offering double the outdoor space of standard verandas.
• Veranda Stateroom (A) — 19.0 m², sleeps 2. A private full-size veranda with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors gives direct outdoor access for morning coffee or evening river views without crossing public decks.
• French Balcony Stateroom (C) — 12.5 m², sleeps 2. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open directly to fresh river air and scenery from the cabin, compact and cost-effective for guests who want the river connection without a separate outdoor platform.
