Dining on Viking Amun

Viking Amun carries a full suite of dining venues, from an included main restaurant to specialist options that carry a cover charge or require a reservation.

The Restaurant is the ship's main dining room, included in your cruise fare, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Nile as you eat. For casual daytime meals, the Pool Grill serves freshly prepared dishes poolside, also included. World Café operates as an open-kitchen buffet with live cooking and international dishes, plus premium sushi and seafood, and extends outside to the Aquavit Terrace® — the ship's open-air dining deck positioned directly above the water.

The Wintergarden offers complimentary afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, scones and pastries alongside classical music. Mamsen's®, set within the Explorers' Lounge, serves Norwegian specialities from breakfast through to dinner at no extra cost.

For something more special, Manfredi's Italian Restaurant® recreates a trattoria setting with authentic Italian cooking and a private dining room option — à la carte pricing and cover charges apply. The Chef's Table offers a multi-course tasting menu with sommelier-paired wines, requiring a reservation and à la carte pricing. Bars and social spaces

Viking Amun's social areas are designed to feel calm rather than cavernous, which suits the intimate guest count well.

The Living Room sits at the heart of the ship, with generous seating, live classical music from the Viking Resident Musicians and a relaxed social atmosphere — entry is free, though beverages are charged separately. The adjacent Bar (the Clinker Bar) draws on Nordic longship design for an atmospheric drinks setting. Torshavn® channels a Hollywood jazz-lounge feel with live music and cocktails, while the Explorers' Lounge features two-storey panoramic windows and a comfortable spot to watch the riverbanks pass. The open Atrium rounds out the social spaces as a central meeting point.

Pools, wellness and activities

The ship carries two pools: a heated main pool with retractable roof — usable year-round whatever the weather, with evening film screenings on the poolside screen — and an Infinity Pool, one of the first of its kind at sea, with floor-to-ceiling windows creating the impression of swimming within the destination itself. A hot tub sits alongside it, and the adjacent Pool Bar keeps refreshments close to hand (beverages charged separately).

The Nordic Spa is open to all guests at no charge; individual treatments and classes are priced separately. The sauna and snow grotto within the spa offer a full wellness circuit. The Fitness Centre provides treadmills, elliptical machines and exercise bikes alongside free space for yoga and pilates; equipment use is complimentary, though some classes carry a fee. On deck, the Sports Deck offers a running track, boccie, mini golf and shuffleboard — included in your fare, with guided classes such as yoga charged separately.

For evening entertainment, The Theater accommodates up to 450 guests for lectures, films and TED Talks, and can be divided into two HD cinemas. Admission is included in your fare.
