Celebrity Equinox was added to the Celebrity Cruise fleet in August 2009 making her the second ship to join the Solstice Class of ships. The Celebrity Equinox weighs in at 122,000 tons and can carry 2,850 passengers. The Celebrity Equinox mainly sails around the Caribbean and the Mediterranean regions.
The Equinox offers you the choice of excitement, relaxation or both- whatever you want from your holiday is to hand. From state of the art exercise facilities and four swimming pools including a family pool and an adults only solarium pool, to the Aqua Spa with the full service spa and salon amenities, to the Lawn Club on manicured grass and the breathtaking views at the very top of the ship in the Sky Observation Lounge.
Shop till you drop in one of the 18 boutiques onboard or browse the art gallery and pick up a book in the two storey library. Of course the kids will be busy all day in one of Celebrity cruises' programs for young passengers: Shipmates for ages 3 to 5 or Fun Factory for ages 3-11. For teens, the XClub offers dancing and a coffee lounge. In the evening, there's plenty of entertainment available for families and adults. The Equinox Theatre and Celebrity Central feature Broadway-style shows, live music, movies, and comedy. Unwind at one of Equinox's many bars and lounges or hit Fortune's Casino for gaming.
With Celebrity Cruises being well known for their excellent gourmet cuisine the Equinox doesn't disappoint. With ten dining options, there's something onboard Celebrity Equinox to suit everyone's taste. The ship's main dining room, Silhouette Restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with exceptional European-style service in an elegant dining room atmosphere. The buffet at Oceanview Cafe and Bar is more casual with a variety of dining stations serving international cuisine. Burgers and other grill favorites are available at the Mast Grill and Bar, which is easily accessible from the pool. Cafe al Bacio serves speciality coffee drinks and Gelateria offers delicious Italian ice and gelato. For lighter meals, AquaSpa Cafe offers health "spa-cuisine", and Bistro on Five offers sandwiches, crepes, and salads. Murano is the ship's upscale fine dining venue with multi-course meals freshly made and served on fine china. The Tuscan Grille is an Italian-inspired steakhouse with pastas, steaks, seafood, and salads. For something different, try Silk Harvest Restaurant, which serves Asian-fusion cuisine. AquaClass guests and those staying in suites have exclusive access to Blu Restaurant.
The 1,426 staterooms aboard the Celebrity Equinox consist of various categories, such as standard inside, oceanview and balcony cabins. There are more premium cabins than most cruise lines and a large proportion of balconies, making it more affordable than ever to book a luxury accommodation. All staterooms come with twin beds that convert to queen, private shower and bathroom, safe, interactive flat screen TV allowing the passenger to make restaurant reservations, check onboard accounts and shore excursions. Travel in more spacious accommodation with the family cabins to give you more room to relax, or book a suite level stateroom and treat yourself to a full bar, floor to ceiling windows, multiple rooms and maybe even a piano! For extra amenities in your cabin without the cost of a suite, why not try out the Aqua Class cabins, which offer access to a special relaxation room and the exclusive Blu Restaurant along with in room upgrades.
