Avalon Visionary is an Avalon Waterways river ship sailing Europe's most celebrated inland waterways. Her current programme concentrates on three rivers:

• Danube — the most departure-rich itinerary, with sailings from Budapest, Vienna, Vilshofen and Nuremberg
• Rhine — connecting Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland, with sailings departing from Basel and Amsterdam
• Moselle — a single, intimate routing departing Remich, Luxembourg

Itineraries run up to 15 nights, and all current departures open from late September 2026 onward. Every departure requires a flight to the embarkation port — Germany, Hungary, Austria, Luxembourg and the Netherlands are all represented across the programme.

Cabins on Avalon Visionary

Avalon Visionary offers two confirmed cabin grades, each designed for two guests and finished to a comfortable standard suited to a river voyage.

The Royal Suite (grade S) spans 27.9 m² and comes with a balcony, two spacious wardrobes and two flatscreen televisions — a generous footprint by any river ship measure, and the right choice for guests who want to make the suite itself part of the experience. The Deluxe Outside Cabin (grade D) covers 16.0 m² and features a three-door wardrobe with shelves — notably more storage than a standard river cabin, which matters on longer sailings when you need room to unpack properly. Both grades sleep two.
