AmaMelodia is a river ship built in 2024 and operated by AmaWaterways, carrying up to 64 guests in 32 cabins with a crew of 30. At 68 metres in length, she is designed for the rivers of South America, offering an intimate ratio of guests to crew that makes personal service the norm rather than a selling point. AmaMelodia offers two distinct dining venues, both included in your cruise fare and open to all guests.

• Main Restaurant — the culinary heart of the ship, serving regional cuisine with open seating times and views of the river passing by. The relaxed atmosphere encourages conversation with fellow travellers, and there is no fixed sitting.
• The Chef's Table — a more intimate experience where a dedicated chef crafts a multi-course tasting menu in front of you. It is a form of culinary theatre, personalised and unhurried, and carries no additional charge.

Complimentary specialty coffees and teas are available throughout the day at the self-service Specialty Coffee & Tea Station — a welcome touch on early morning port days.

Bars, lounges and social spaces

The Main Lounge is the social centre of the ship, with a fully stocked bar, evening entertainment and informative talks about upcoming ports of call. Entry is included; drinks are charged separately unless covered by a beverage package. For quieter moments, the Library offers books and games in a calm, unhurried setting — no charge to use it, and no need to reserve a seat.

Sun deck, pool and outdoor life

The open Sun Deck runs the full width of the upper deck and gives unobstructed views of the Colombian riverbanks — it doubles as an occasional outdoor dining spot and the best vantage point when entering port. The Heated Sun-Deck Pool is built into the upper deck with an integrated swim-up bar, so you can cool off without giving up your drink. A walking track circles the same deck for those who want to keep up their exercise routine in the fresh air.

Staying active and well

The Fitness Center carries modern cardio and strength-training equipment and is complimentary to use; specialist classes carry a separate charge. The Massage & Hair Salon provides a quieter kind of recovery — treatments and hairdressing services carry a charge, but the space itself is open to all guests. A fleet of bicycles is available at no cost to explore ports independently, at your own pace and without a guided tour.

• Luxury Suite (28.4 m²) — the largest cabin on the ship, with a private balcony. At 28.4 m² it offers the most generous living space on board, with room to spread out after a long day ashore.
• Balcony Cabin A (22.0 m²) — positioned on a lower, stable deck, this grade is the one to choose if you prefer minimal movement while the ship is underway. It also has a balcony and sleeps two.

All current sailings depart from Colombia, with embarkation ports at Cartagena and Barranquilla. Because every sailing originates in Colombia, flights from Australia are part of every trip.
