Miami, situated on the Atlantic coast in Southeast Florida, is the world's busiest cruise port. Colón is located in Limon Bay, at the Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal and is traditionally referred to as “Panama’s second city”. On the decline since the 1960’s due to politically instigated riots and Panama’s subsequent military dictatorships, Colón has undergone an impressive restoration and renovation project since 2014. Puerto Quetzal is Guatemala's largest port on the Pacific Ocean. The southern part of Puerto Quetzal is particularly important for both freight and passenger transport. Craft and souvenir markets are situated right at the port. In the immediate vicinity, cruise passengers may also enjoy relaxing bars, a restaurant and performances from Marimba bands. Those who chose to take an inland tour may visit the city of La Antigua.
