Cherbourge Harbor was built between 1776 and 1835 on an artificial island in Normandy. Due to its location, its counted amongst the most important naval ports in France. The French port of Brest in Brittany is situated on the extreme western tip of France. The harbor is one of the major naval ports in France. Bordeaux, in southwestern France is known in particular for the wine produced in the region, and has undergone rapid development in recent years.
