Itinerary

San Juan is the capital and largest city of Puerto Rico. As a cruising hot spot in the Caribbean, San Juan offers all of the amenities and attractions of a modern city. The city is divided into Old and New San Juan. Old San Juan dates back five centuries and is known for its colourful buildings and old forts, which once protected the island. El Morro is a well-known fort that now houses a small military museum. At the city walls that surround San Juan is The Paseo de la Princesca, a beautiful promenade with shops, restaurants, and gorgeous views.

Philipsburg is the capital of the overseas Dutch colony of St. Maarten. Boasting beautiful views of the Great Bay and the Great Salt Pond, it is an ideal location for a Caribbean holiday. On St. Maarten, there is adventure to be found throughout the beautiful island with snorkeling, swimming and horseback riding available. Philipsburg is also a hotspot for bargain hunters, with a mile-long commercial district with a range of duty-free shops. The white sandy beaches of Philipsburg are the perfect location to enjoy some relaxation.

Bridgetown is the island's largest city and is a vibrant and historic cultural gem. The city was founded by the British, meaning there is a terrific mix of old and new on the island with historic British colonial buildings alongside modern structures such as shopping centres and financial institutions. Always a lively city, there is a large amount of shopping, dining and cultural experiences to discover. Street vendors provide colour and character to the streets and the local bars and restaurants are the perfect way to immerse yourself in the Caribbean culture.

In the capital of St. Lucia, you will find one of the finest harbors in the West Indies. A large part of the islands exports of bananas, sugar cane, rum and syrup pass through Castries. The city was founded by the French, whose influence is felt today. The backdrop to the town is the mountain of Morne Fortune, which is an ever-present reminder of the natural beauty to be found all over the island if you venture away from the colourful buildings, markets and stores.

Fort de France is the capital of Martinique and one of the largest cities of the island. Fort de France offers many attractions, the famous Museum of banana plantations and the Habitation Limbé tell a lot about the history of the city and the island. Even the statue of the empress Joséfine, wife of Napoleon is impressive. Martinique is typical of the market on which especially spices and fruits are traded. You can also enjoy the most beautiful gardens in the Caribbean, the Balata Botanical Garden.

Basseterre offers visitors a blend of beautiful beaches, landscapes and architectural reminders of the colonial history of the island. While the island of St. Kitts and Nevis offers a massive variety of opportunities to relax, there is also plenty of chances to explore the island by snorkelling, windsurfing, diving and golfing. A wide variety of bars, restaurants and clubs give you the chance to enjoy some authentic Caribbean food and nightlife.
