Spotlight destination: Cruising Hawaii

This week we’re putting Hawaii in the spotlight to show you that it is truly paradise on earth.  If you’re thinking of taking a cruise holiday to Hawaii, this short guide should help you make up your mind!

About Hawaii:

Hawaii is a US state made entirely of islands, located in the Pacific Ocean.  It can be found to the southwest of the continental United States, southeast of Japan and northeast of Australia.  Due to its location, Hawaii has many influences from North America and Asia, plus it has its own vibrant native culture too.  Visit Hawaii on a cruise holiday and you’ll enjoy learning more about the wonderful rituals and culture.

The Hawaiian Islands can offer natural beauty like you’ve never experienced before: think lava fields, rain forests, waterfalls and heavenly palm-fringed beaches.  It’s a “must” for budding photographers!

Visiting Hawaii on a cruise:

The main Hawaiian Islands are Hawaii, Kauai, Kahoolawe, Lanai, Mau, Molokai, Niihau and Oahu.  Royal Caribbean Cruises visit many of these islands during their 11 or 13 day tours, where holidayers can enjoy a myriad of excursions.  When visiting Hawaii, taking part on as many excursions as possible is an absolute must!   You can take exciting volcano tours, visit historical places such as the Pearl Harbor memorial, fly in a helicopter over Oahu and marvel at the colourful aquatic life as you snorkel in Waikiki.  Those who are brave enough can dive with sharks while the rest of us can enjoy a more relaxing swim with dolphins – and these a re just a FEW of the different excursions you could enjoy…

On board:

As you set sail for the Big Island (or one of its smaller counterparts), you can enjoy a number of luxury features aboard the Royal Caribbean ships. For example, on the Vision Class “Rhapsody” ship, you can spruce yourself up in the Vitality Spa, with its extensive treatment menu.  The state-of-the-art Fitness Centre offers classes to help you keep trim, which is perfect if you’re dining out on one of the exuberant eateries.  Plus, you can enjoy two great swimming pools, including one situated in an adult-only retreat.

Never mind Hawaii being like paradise on earth, with Royal Caribbean’s ships, it’s paradise on-board!
