Select guests aboard an Oceania Cruises voyage will be able to enjoy free internet connectivity from autumn 2015. Passengers booked in either a suite or Concierge-level cabin on any of the Oceania Cruises fleet will have completely complimentary access to email and the World Wide Web.
The cruise company will offer unlimited free internet to the passengers holidaying in the Owner’s, Vista and Oceania suites whilst the Penthouse Suite and Concierge-level passengers will be afforded a block of complimentary internet time depending upon their length of voyage. For the latter, a seven-night cruise would equate to them receiving 200 free internet minutes and 16-night (or longer) cruises will receive 500 free minutes.
The internet time will be redeemable through the Wi-Fi or the ships’ internet cafes.
This unique offering will roll out on the following dates:
Nautica – 25 October 2015
Marina – 3 November 2015
Regatta – 4 November 2015
Riviera – 2 December 2015
Insignia – 4 January 2016
Internet connectivity is one of the top ten extras passengers have to pay on cruise holidays. With increasing reliance placed upon constant internet access, this deal from Oceania will help passengers stay in touch with work and their loved ones even when traversing the open seas.
This follows news of Royal Caribbean’s upcoming Quantum Class of ships playing host to the fastest internet connectivity on the seas. Utilising O3b Networks technology, the Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas will allow passengers to connect at speeds comparable to the fastest on-land connections.
