Carnival Cruise Line’s dedication to fun continues as they announce some of the unique and incredible features planned for the upcoming Carnival Vista, launching next year. The ship which will take to the seas in May 2016 is set to feature the world’s first IMAX cinema at sea and SkyRide – a 150ft-high cycling course.
The Carnival Vista is set to continue the cruise line’s tradition of hosting a large water park on the top deck, complete with twisting, turning water slides. WaterWorks aboard the Vista is set to be the biggest water park in the cruise line’s history with the Kaleid-O-Slide – the line’s first raft-riding tube slide – taking centre stage.
The ship’s waterpark will also feature the RedFrog pub, a New England inspired eatery and brew house specialising in seafood and home brew beer. Table-top taps also allow guest to pull their own beer in the RedFrog.
The three deck IMAX screen will play a series of classic family favourites, Hollywood blockbusters and interesting documentaries. The incredible sound system completes the most immersive cinema experience on the seas. The cinema complex is complete with concession stands and popcorn vendors.
Suspended 150ft above the top deck of the Carnival Vista is SkyRide, an 800ft long cycling course for only the most fearless of guests. SkyRide is complemented by SkyCourse – a high-level suspended rope course, testing surefooted guests.
Unique Dining and Accommodation
Carnival are expanding their dining options aboard the Carnival Vista with a selection of new eateries and bars debuting on the ship. The Seafood Shack continues the New England theme aboard the ship, offering a wide range of regional favourites. Named for the Cuban capital, Havana specialises in rum-soaked cocktails in a relaxed Central American setting.
Carnival Cruise Line have also endeavoured to increase the accommodation options aboard the Carnival Vista with two new suite classes. The Havana Cabanas incorporate a large indoors area with a sizeable patio with lounge chairs and hammocks.
The Family Harbour suites are the new deluxe ocean-view, balcony and interior state rooms which can accommodate up to five guests. Families staying in these suites have exclusive access to the Family Harbour Lounge – a secluded family hangout with TVs, games, and complementary breakfasts.
Mark Tamis, Carnival’s senior vice president of guest operations, enthused: “Carnival Vista celebrates the connection to the oceans on which we sail and gives our guests amazing seascapes around every corner and more ways to enjoy every moment of sun and fun during their cruise vacation. From our exhilarating new high-altitude SkyRide to the Kaleid-O-Slide water tube slide to our IMAX anchored Carnival Multiplex, to the multitude of dining and bar options, we are thrilled to share the details about our largest and most innovative ship with our guests while providing our valued travel agent partners with an exciting new option to offer to their clients.”
