Home grown Aussie chef, Curtis Stone, has teamed up with Princess Cruises to offer cruise passengers a whole new range of delicious dining experiences aboard any one of the cruise line’s eighteen luxury ocean liners.
The new partnership, which was announced earlier this week, sees the Melbourne-born chef debuting a new range of dishes aboard the Princess fleet. Aptly named “Crafted by Curtis”, the venture sees the creation of a new speciality dining concept, three new menu additions and a Curtis Stone chef’s table.
The “Crafted by Curtis” concept will make its debut in the chef’s home country, when the culinary offering will be brought to Princess Cruises’ Golden Princess in October 2015. If successful, Princess hopes to introduce Curtis’ dishes and dining concept to its remaining fleet before the end of the year.
When asked to comment on the latest partnership, Stone said: “I’m set on bringing a new culinary experience to the sea to enhance and complete a cruise holiday.
Since I travel often, I know that discovering delicious food and sharing a great meal can create some of the most memorable moments and I’ve designed my restaurants with this in mind. It’s important to me that guests have the experience that I would want and food that I’d be thrilled to eat myself, at sea or anywhere else in the world.”
Also commenting on the partnership, Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises, said Stone’s new menu additions will appeal to passengers on a global scale, and “most certainly to those enjoying Australia-based cruises since Chef Stone hails from Australia and is incredibly popular in his homeland”.
Individual menu items created by Stone are yet to be revealed, so be sure to check back with us soon for further updates.
