Carnival Cruise Lines Delivers New American TABLE and American FEAST Dinner Concepts for Carnival Glory


After the new American dining experiences are pioneered on American Glory, they will roll out to the rest of the fleet during 2014 and 2015.

Planning of booking a cruise holiday onboard Carnival Glory?  If so, you’ll soon be enjoying their incredible new dining options in the ship’s main dining room:  The all new American TABLE and American FEAST experiences.

The dining concepts were created after testing and research revealed insights and suggestions from previous Carnival cruise guests. The concept was developed in consultation with the Union Square Hospitality Group, which is a leader in hospitality, food, and entertainment.

American TABLE

Offered on Cruise Casual nights, the idea of this dining experience is to focus on regional and fresh dishes with menus that change each night. The ambiance includes modern décor and place settings.

Some of the tantalizing offerings start with the cocktail menu, including Sunset Serenity, Raspberry Mojito, and the Carnival Cosmo. There will also be a new list of featured wines by the glass or bottle.

Then, there is the food. The appetizer menu includes such scrumptious choices as Fried Calamari, Spicy Alligator Fritters, and Frog Legs Provencal with Herb Butter. In terms of entrees, there are new pasta and poultry choices, including Free Range Chicken with Salsa Verde and Charred Lemon and Cornmeal Crusted Chicken Breast with Black Bean, Corn and Tomato Salsa. Meat and seafood entrees include Seared Tilapia with Capers and Parsley or Rosemary Braised Lamb Shank.

There are also “Port of Call” entree selection inspired by the destination on the ship’s itinerary that day, including dishes representing St. Thomas, such as Tropical Salad of Ripe Mango, Spicy Grilled Chicken Strips, Crispy Carrots and Red and Green Peppers on a Bed of Fresh Greens Drizzled with Tangy Raspberry Vinaigrette, and Island Chicken Curry with Potato Crisps and Sweet and Sour Mango Chutney.

For those of you that had some Carnival favorites, the menu will still include many of those delicious offerings, including the Flat Iron Steak with Pepper and Herbs and Veal Parmigiana with Spaghetti and Tomato Sauce.

American FEAST

The American FEAST is offered in the main dining room one or two times per voyage on Cruise Elegant nights. From the table-side courses and sophisticated table settings, this meal is meant to feel like a special occasion night. The menu has some incredible gourmet offerings, including starters like Mojito Cured Salmon with Minted Cucumber Slaw and Crispy Crab and Corn Fritters with Pineapple, Coconut and Cilantro Salsa. New entrees include Slow Cooked Prime Rib, Broiled Maine Lobster, and Miso Marinated Salmon Filet. Finish the delectable meal off with desserts like Sticky Toffee Brioche with Whipped Crème Fraiche, Chocolate Nib Crunch, or Toasted Coconut-Lime and Strawberry Compote.

Pilot Programs and Fleet Rollout

The Carnival Glory ship will serve as the pilot program for the new concepts to see if guests like the new dishes, elements, and presentation. Other pilot ships include Carnival Liberty, starting in January, and Carnival Imagination and Carnival Inspiration, beginning in February. Once the feedback is received and tweaks are made to address the guests’ opinions, there are plans to roll out the dining concepts to the entire fleet in the second half of 2014 and into 2015.
