APT receive world-class accolade for their food & dining


River cruise company invited to join the La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs

Earlier this month, the Australia Pacific Touring cruise company (APT) announced they have received an induction into one of the world’s most prestigious culinary organisations, La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

The association is very selective and exclusive and  the chance to be included is by is invite only.

So far, APT are the only European river cruise line to be inducted into La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, and each of the company’s ship sailing through Europe this year will be a member of the renowned organisation.

APT shares this accolade with many professional chefs, restaurateurs and hoteliers all around the world.

APT’s executive chef, Primus Perchtold directs all of the menus onboard APT’s fleet has, and he has won multiple awards for his skills in cookery, including three gold medals at the European Championship of Culinary Art.

Speaking on behalf of APT in her capacity as marketing manager, Debra Fox said, “our aim always has been to meet the and exceed our customers’ expectations, we’ve made river cruising a tailored luxury-styled experience.”  She added:  “This really lifts the image of river cruise dining, and we’re proud to maintain our leadership role in developing the standards for this type of holiday.”

Fox also highlighted that society membership is considered an achievement of world class culinary acumen.

About La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs:

La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’ origins can be traced as far back to 1248.  However, today the organisation is an international gastronomic association that is dedicated to preserving the traditions and practises of the old French guild (but in a contemporary and international context).

The association brings people together to celebrate their passion for the finest wine and cuisines.  It encourages the development of young chefs and even provides food aid to support those in need.

There are eight different dining options across APT’s Aria and Concerto ships.  Guests can indulge in champagne breakfasts and sample freshly baked bread during the day and night.
