Royal Caribbean’s record breaking flagship sale extended until Monday

Royal Caribbean International launched their flagship sale last Sunday, and it has been so successful that they have extended it until Monday evening.  The sale has broken all previous records and the Australian office has reported its busiest period ever.

Royal Caribbean are basing three of their ships in the region over the summer season and Adam Armstrong, their Commercial Director, is delighted at the industry and passengers response to the deals on offer.   With onboard credit of up to US$200 per cabin, second passenger discounts of up to 50% on selected departures, and even half price deposits on sailings of 5 days or more in the 2012/13 season, it’s quite easy to see why it has been so popular.

“Our phones have been ringing off the hook since the flagship sale was announced.  We know that some agents have been having trouble getting through to us due to the sheer volume of calls, so we have decided to extend the sale until Monday night to ensure we can assist everyone who would like to book with us for the coming season.”

From October onwards the Royal Caribbean ships will be arriving prior to departure to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.  There has been a lot of interest in the new megaliner Voyager of the Seas, but the old favourites, Rhapsody of the Sea and Radiance of the Sea have strong bookings too.

Rhapsody of the Seas is returning to the area after its refurbishment and regular passengers are excited to see the ‘new’ ship.  It has been in dry dock in Singapore for the upgrading of its’ on-board technology such as signage, the provision of new bars and the addition of Oasis class dining options.

Back in 2011 Radiance of the Seas had its upgrade when the ship had several new restaurants including a Brazilian steakhouse, Mexican and Japanese option.  More provision for young families included the addition of Royal Babies and Tots for tiny cruisers aged 6 months to 3 years and upgrading to interactive flat screen TVs in all cabins.

Voyager of the Seas, Royal Caribbeans’ megaliner arrives on 5th November in Fremantle to make her maiden voyage to Australia.  With its climbing walls, ice skating rings, concert arenas, this ship is definitely aimed at the more active passengers and attracts many families with older children to entertain.

The sale will end on Monday evening, so bookings need to be made as soon as possible.
