In early January, Norwegian Cruise Line announced that new ship Breakaway will feature a stunning fireworks display on every cruise.
The company, who have gone to lengths to ensure the display will be environmentally friendly, have claimed the spectacle will dazzle guests as a conclusion to a fabulous and decadent 1980s-themed deck party, building on the electrifying theme of the ship’s headlining Broadway show, Rock of Ages. Holidayers will be able to boogie to playlist of carefully selected ’80s classics by some of the most popular artists from the decade.
The fireworks will light up the night sky in a breath-taking finale, right above the ship. The show has been designed and produced to a playlists of hits, including “Come on Feel the Noise,” by Quiet Riot; “Whip It,” by Devo; “Cherish,” by Madonna; “Final Countdown,” by Europe; and “Purple Rain,” by Prince.
Guests will party the night away under the stars in the open-air space H20 venue at the aft of the shift. The party will take place on the second to last night at sea each week during her inaugural summer season, after setting sail from Bermuda.
Speaking about the fabulous party and the spectacular show, Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line’s CEO said:
“All the incredible entertainment and amenities on Norwegian Breakaway are going to wow our guests. We wanted one additional element that would really blow them away and this incredible fireworks show is going to take the cruise to a new level of excitement.”
