Seabourn Quest will be undertaking a 116 day world cruise in 2013 leaving Fort Lauderdale in Florida on 6th January, visiting Australia, the South Pacific, Southeast Asia, India, the Mediterranean, and ending back in Venice on 3rd May. Seabourn Quest has been described as ‘a game-changer for the luxury segment’. Its’ luxurious facilities and grand accommodation make it an ideal ship for longer voyages and even for world cruises.
On board entertainment includes music from the latest popular songs to classical concerts, quizzes, live bands for ballroom dancing and professional dance classes. In addition they are offering specialist educational onboard enrichment guest speakers to challenge and stretch the minds of cruise members.
With authors, politicians, an astronomer and historians, the breadth of knowledge will be nearly as amazing as the countries visited on the tour.
Speakers have been chosen to enhance the cruise experience and many of them are specialists in the regions visited. The information and knowledge they can share will definitely heighten the port visits and entertain guests on the way around the globe.

Joining the cruise from 6th to 16th January is Dr Roderick A McDonald a professor, author and learned historian on Caribbean and Latin American. Alongside him, Dr Michelle Craig McDonald, professor and author of Early American, Caribbean and maritime history will share her speciality.
From 16th to 30th January Dr Norman Caisse, NASA astronomer and engineer who took part in space explorations projects will be on-board. He will share with us the journey through our own solar system, into the Milky Way and further onto the edge of the universe known to man.
Paul Deegan, mountaineer and award winning author takes over from 8th to 16th February. He will share his story from humble beginnings picking up rubbish at the foot of Mount Everest to its final conquer after several attempts and many subsequent other peaks and challenges.
From 22 February to 2 March Captain Peter Martin, Commander of the Royal Australian Naval Reserve will be speaking on maritime and foreign affairs.
Christopher Buckley a US political satirist and author will be giving his amusing anecdotes on board from 26th to 31st March
We then move onto Dr Adrian Kerr from 8th – 21st April. Dr Kerr is an author and historian on ancient civilisations and will share a wealth of information to make your port visits more enjoyable and enlightening.
Fasinating insight into international relations analysis and Middle Eastern political conflicts is offered by Farhana Qazi from 12th – 23rd April.
The final week is shared with Colonel Ralf Vargas from 23rd April – 3rd May, who is a retired US Army officer, former Chief of the NATO Situation Centre that specialises in European Affairs.
Alongside him, Rita Rudner, screenwriter, comedian, actress and author who is well known for her live shows in both the UK and US, and has also had success with TV specials.
Overall, whether you choose to join the ship part way through the cruise or go round the world with them, you will not tire of the entertainment, or lack mental and physical motivation whilst on-board or in port.
