Celebrity Solstice’s new 2013/14 itineraries

As we reported earlier this month, Celebrity Cruises will be introducing their Solstice ship to Sydney Harbour in December 2012.

Celebrity, who describe Solstice as a “thing of beauty”, have just announced their new 2013/14 itinerary.  In our last blog post, we briefly touched on what will be the ship’s second season in Australia, sharing that there’s a 35-night tour of Australia and New Zealand, amongst much more, on the itinerary.

Today we’re going to look at Celebrity Solstice’s new itineraries in a little more detail.

Solstice’s second season will begin on 4th October 2013 and it features a total of 15 sailings, which is THREE more than the upcoming 2012/13 season.  The ship will be visiting all major ports in Australia and New Zealand.  As well as a sampler cruise, holidayers can enjoy trips to New Caledonia, Fiji, Hawaii and more.

Her itineraries include:

  • New Zealand:  Eight 12-night cruises sailing between Auckland and Sydney
  • New Zealand:  Two 14-night cruises sailing between Auckland and Sydney
  • Sampler:  Three-night weekend sampler cruise during school holidays
  • South Pacific:  Two 8- and 12-night cruises, with excursions to New Caledonia and Fiji
  • Australia:  Two separate sailings (17 or 18 night), or combine for a 35-night voyage
  • Trans-pacific:  Tour Hawaii and Tahiti on a tour from Sydney to Honolulu

Early Bird Offers:

Those who book early will be able to enjoy a significant discount on their holiday.  Of course, as always, the amount depends on which journey you take and what type of cabin you opt for.   You can save up to $ 1,000 per person, plus you can enjoy some of Celebrity’s affordable upgrades from as little as $ 25 per person per night.

The three-night sampler cruise starts at just $525 per person.  The eight-night South Pacific tour starts at $1,395 per person.  The 12 night New Zealand cruise starts at only $1,745 per person.

There’s plenty of fun to be had onboard Solstice:  enjoy local cultural entertainers, listen to fascinating speakers, sample regional delicacies, or simply have a drink and relax on the half acre of grass at the ship’s unique “Law Club”.  And let’s not forget the famed AquaSpa – it is full of luxurious treatments for those seeking relaxation.

Fancy learning a new hobby?

Solstice brings a first to Australia:  a glass blowing studio at sea!  Or, you can enjoy learning how to edit your photos or use an iPod in the iLearn classes.  Why not learn how to dance (Salsa, Jive, Hip Hop and more!) or perfect a second language with Solstice’s Rosetta Stone programme?

There is an activity for everyone to enjoy – you’ll never be short of something to do!

This is not a comment, but a question. I have booked the November 16 cruise Auckland to Sydney and I am looking forward to it immensely.
My question is whether the Solstice has 2 shows in the evening, 1 for 1st sitting diners and one for the 2nd sitting.
    Thank you,
    Ineke Esveld

    • Good afternoon Ineke, the Solstice will be doing 2 shows to accommodate both dining options.

      Many Thanks

  2. Question.
I am booked on Sydney to New Zealand 12 night cruise on 28/11. I can’t find any information of day tours suggestions in NZ.

    • Hi Helen,

Thanks for your question, the cruise line you have booked with should have an online check in procedure, once this has been done you can then book your excursions.

      Many Thanks
