Bangkok Cruise Guide

Bangkok is a city that is modern yet still shows its Buddhist roots almost everywhere you look – a truly fantastic place to visit on a cruise holiday. And Cruise 1st has some great deals on cruises visiting Bangkok and the surrounding area.

You can see some of the latest deals on our Asia Cruises page. Or if you’d like to learn more about Bangkok and what you can do there, read on.

About Bangkok

Bangkok is Thailand’s capital and also it’s most highly-populated city. As such it is bustling and vibrant in places, but there are also plenty of reminders of the Buddhist culture in the city’s history.

Bangkok is renowned for it’s shopping, if you’re that way inclined – from busy markets where sellers are willing to barter, all the way up to designer stores selling all the big names.

It’s also known for fine dining. The thai food might not be exactly what you’re used to back home, but it’s still delicious! And you’ll also find a wide range of cuisine from across the globe – from sushi to Italian; French to American steakhouses.

If you’re looking for a thriving nightlife, Bangkok has that too – from hip bars and nightclubs to more laid back piano bars.

And outside the bustle of the city you’ll find beautiful Thai temples, Buddhist monuments and a wide choice of museums.

Cruise lines offering trips that visit Bangkok include Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Holland America line.
