Passengers can also enlist the help of informative local tour guides once they disembark. During days on the river, guests have much to amuse them, in particular the Sky Deck with its relaxing sun loungers and whirlpool. Luminary is also home to a wonderful fitness centre and hair salon, as well as a convenient Internet Corner that allows you to keep up with events back home.
Evenings are also an enjoyable occasion on board Luminary, with splendid Avalon Waterways entertainment laid on. The ship also offers two lounges and a bar, with the Sky Lounge presenting an idyllic setting from which to enjoy the river views, while the Club Lounge is a warmly decorated, intimate setting.

Passengers can look forward to a real treat with Luminary’s superb culinary experience. The first night plays host to a stunning welcome banquet and an elegant sparkling wine and canapé reception. At an early or late breakfast sitting, guests can enjoy the fantastic buffet, accompanied by a special egg station that allows guests to have their eggs cooked to their liking. Room service is also available at breakfast, and guests can choose to have a lovely continental breakfast delivered to their room.
Lunch is another beautifully prepared buffet affair, while there is also an elegant afternoon tea served every day in the main dining room. Fantastic four-course dinners are on the menu every night of your cruise, with a menu featuring the best regional recipes and freshest ingredients. On the last night of your

Avalon Waterways Luminary Accommodation
Luminary is home to sixty-five fabulous staterooms and four plush suites, each offering a great place for guests to relax and get a good night’s sleep at the end of a long day. All staterooms provide guests with two picture windows overlooking the riverbank, a lovely en suite bathroom with shower, writing desk, hairdryer, flat screen television, mini bar and air conditioning. Luminary staterooms feature a great deal of storage space, both under the bed and in the spacious wardrobe, whilst a number of staterooms also offer a balcony.
The four suites offer much more living space for guests to enjoy, with a separate sitting area included, featuring a relaxing settee and coffee table. All suites also provide a wonderful private terrace area.

The Avalon Waterways cruise fleet offer a combination of staterooms and suite accommodation. In most cases staterooms far outnumber suites, with the majority of ships featuring only a handful of exclusive luxury suites. The exception is Panorama, Avalon Waterways’ stunning new suite-only ship.
All staterooms offer high levels of luxury and comfort, with each presenting the guest with a picture window view, lovely en suite bathroom with shower, writing desk, flat screen television, bathrobe and slippers, hairdryer, mini-bar and air conditioning. Passengers can also look forward to an abundance of storage space, a choice of twin or queen-size beds and a selection of nine different pillow types.
Suites offer a higher level of luxury, with more space to enjoy, a pleasant balcony area and a comfortable separate seating area.
