Queen Elizabeth reveals even more of Cunard’s celebrity history with its carefully selected cinema on show at the Classic Film Club.


Elsewhere, Queen Elizabeth’s Royal Spa is a great place to relax, while a trip to the deck will reveal tennis courts, swimming pools and a whole host of deck games and tournaments. The Empire Casino offers a pleasant evening’s entertainment, while a specially created terrace at the rear of the ship hosts classy garden parties. For something special, take a traditional afternoon tea with all the trimmings, including freshly made scones and service from white-gloved waiters.


Your choice of bars and lounges will ensure there is always somewhere entertaining to relax with a drink. The Midships Bar is a nod to the original Queen Elizabeth liner, while the Commodore Club offers the perfect setting for a pre-dinner martini. The Golden Lion is an authentic English pub with a great selection of ales, or alternatively you can relax with a refreshing cocktail by the pool.


Queen Elizabeth – Where to eat


Grill guests are welcome to sample the beautiful cuisine and exceptional service of the Queens Grill or Princess Grill Experience, where they can dine at their own specially reserved table in a lovely setting. Balcony and Oceanview customers are invited to enjoy the exclusive Britannia Experience, where the stunning chandelier and staircase contribute to a picturesque dining experience.


For something a little lighter, take afternoon tea in the Queens Room or select a delicious pastry from the list at Café Carinthia. The Golden Lion Pub offers traditional British fare, along with a wide range of beers and ciders. The menu at the Lido Restaurant changes nightly, with a different theme offering you something new every evening. For beautiful French food, the Verandah is the place to go.


The Staterooms of Queen Elizabeth


After a day of luxury on board Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth, it is only fitting that guests can expect a similar level of comfort and enjoyment from their accommodation. Queen Mary 2

Created to replace the original Queen Mary ship, the flagship of the Cunard cruise fleet first set sail in 2004. Queen Mary 2 also contains a fine arts gallery and the fascinating Images photo gallery, while the Connexions activity programme is great for those who want to try something new, with initiatives such as art classes and dancing lessons available. Guests who wish to keep fit during their voyage can enjoy Queen Mary 2’s swimming pools, tennis courts, or a step into virtual reality with Cunard’s innovative 51-course golf simulator.


Evening entertainment on board Queen Mary 2 offers the guests an impressive list of options. The collection of bars and lounges includes the stunning Terrace Bar, with fine champagnes enjoyed in a beautiful deck setting. The menu at Churchill’s is crammed full of superb whiskies, rum, calvados and cognac, or alternatively enjoy a pint of beer at the Golden Lion. For the perfect view to accompany your drink, the Commodore Club looks out onto the horizon over the bow of the ship. For a lively night, the spectacular two-tiered G32 nightclub is open until late.


Queen Mary 2 – Where to eat


As with all Cunard cruise ships, Grill guests have their own table at the Queens Grill or Princess Grill Experience, where they can expect perfectly cooked gourmet food accompanied by the highest levels of service. The equally exclusive Britannia Experience showcases the talents of Cunard’s experienced chefs, as they present their unique versions of classic dishes.


Kings Court offers the most variety out of all of Cunard’s Queen Mary 2’s dining venues. During the day, guests will find wonderful breakfasts and lunches available, while at night the restaurant plays host to four themed dining areas. Lotus offers guests inventive Asian cuisine, La Piazza features perfectly made Italian favourites, the superb Carvery presents fabulous roast meats, while best of all the Chef’s Galley allows guests to witness the skilled techniques required to prepare their meal. Elsewhere, Cunard cruise line is proud to be able to offer guests food from the renowned US chef Todd English, with his on board restaurant showcasing his specially created menu.

For a relaxing day, enter one of the tournaments for the on deck games, or take in the impressive collection of maritime memorabilia in the Cunardia exhibition. In the evenings, the Empire Casino is always a popular destination, while the Royal Court Theatre presents entertaining shows every night.


For a quiet drink, Café Carinthia invites guests to experience Cunard’s fabulous range of teas and coffees, while the Winter Garden is a truly beautiful setting. Churchill’s presents a range of the finest port, rum and whisky for guests to sample, along with a quality cigar. The Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar is a particularly classy venue, or for a pint of traditional British beer, the Golden Lion is the place to go.
