Cruises From Melbourne

If you want to find a way to travel other than air, then you should try opting for a cruise only deal from Melbourne. These days more and more cruise lines leave from Melbourne and reach destinations Australia wide, New Zealand, Asia and South Pacific ports making home port cruises very popular.

Melbourne is one of Australia's most popular destinations so it makes sense to visit and combine a city break with your cruise, to take in some of the sights, sounds and culture that abounds in Melbourne, before embarking on your cruise holiday.

Don't like to fly? Why not book a cruise and start enjoying your holiday the moment you step on board. No-fly cruises do not require you to fly to the port of departure meaning you can start to enjoy your holiday sooner and also avoid flight delays and baggage charges. Cruise 1st have a range of cheap cruises from Melbourne, and we recommend cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean CruisesCelebrity CruisesCarnivalP&O Australia Cruises and Princess Cruises.

Cruises from Melbourne

Melbourne Cruise Port

Melbourne has one cruise terminal which is called Station Pier. Station Pier is only 4kms from the city centre so taxi's are a good option here. The cruise terminal is around a 30mins drive from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport (28km). Upon arrival at Melbourne airport, a quick and easy way to get into the city centre is the SkyBus which stops right outside the airport terminal and runs to the the Southern Cross Station every 10mins 24/7. Public transport is good in Melbourne too, you do however need to purchase a Myki travel card.

Melbourne Attractions

Melbourne has attractions to suit most people, you have the Royal Botanic Gardens which has been a major attraction and central feature for over 150 years. For the sports enthusiasts you have to visit the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) the museum pays tribute to a whole host of sporting events that have been staged here including the 1956 Olympics. Other attractions include the Queen Victoria Markets, the Old Melbourne Gaol and the City Circle Tram which is a tram from a bygone era which provides a city circle voyage.
