Valparaiso to Buenos Aires: 17th November - 01st Dec 2017

Embark your cruise in Valparaiso, known for its colourful residences and churches Valparaiso is also an UNESCO heritage listed site. Take a trip in one of the funiculars and take in the city views.

Highlights of your cruise include Buenos Aires where you stay onboard overnight giving you 2 full days to explore the city in more detail, of course you can choose to stay onbaord and enjoy the gaucho style barbeques and Argentinian music.

Take a relaxed walk down Colonia del Sacramento situated just outside Montevideo and is a UNESCO listed site. Or spend the day in the countryside to do some wine tasting.

Now we head further South, taking in the Falkland Islands you'll see all sorts of Penguins and then look out for Sea Lions as you follow in Darwins path through the Beagle and Cockburn channels.

The ms Zaandam is a mid-size ship designed to carry fewer guests and provide more space to ensure maximum comfort. Many staterroms have their own private verandahs and offer plush accommodation.

The atmosphere once onboard the Zaandam is unique and inspired by the world's greatest music, artifacts and memorabilia form a host of musical genres. Musical instruments such as Bill Clintons saxophone and signed guitars from greats Queen, Iggy Pop, Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones can be seen onboard and are used as art objects.

The main feature of the Zanndam is her three story atrium which hosts a baroque style dutch pipe organ inspired by the barrel organs that are found on the streets of Holland.

01st December 2017: Transfer to Hotel
Arrival and greeting at the international airport. Transfer in to the chosen hotel. The city of Buenos Aires, also known as La Reina del Plata (The Queen of Silver), seduces with its history, culture and passion that emanates from every corner. Rest of the day off. 

02nd December 2017: Buenos Aires
Breakfast. During the morning we take the City Tour. Discover the beauty of Buenos Aires by getting to know the civic Center, starting with the stunning National Congress and the Plaza de Mayo with the Government House (Casa Rosada), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo. We will visit the Colón Theater, one of the opera  wonders of the world and cultural pride of the people in Buenos Aires. We will also go to the traditional neighborhood of San Telmo, which magical atmosphere will make you go back in time. Then we will stop at La Boca, where the first Italian immigrants settled, famous for its picturesque and colorful architecture. Finally, we will visit La Recoleta, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city, where we will see the famous cemetery, elegant boutiques, excellent restaurants and outdoor coffee shops. Afternoon off. 

03rd December 2017: Fly to Puerto Iguazu
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, departure to airport for the flight to Iguazú. Reception at the airport and transfer to the chosen hotel. 

04th December 2017: Iguazu Argentinean Falls
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, departure for the full day excursion Argentinian Side Waterfalls (National Park fees are included). Penetrating into the Iguazú National Park that, along with the reservation, offers 55.500 ha of exuberant subtropical vegetation, where gigantic trees, lianas and ferns live together with multicolored butterflies, attractive birds and other specimens of the rich fauna of Misiones. And, all of a sudden, proof of an excess of natural abundance: the Iguazú Waterfalls. We will begin the visit at the Interpretation Center, with its Museum of Natural Science, to continue with the low walk path where we will see the Dos Hermanas, Bosetti and Escondido falls and a panoramic view of the San Martin Island and the Unicón fall. Afterwards, we will go through the high walk path, with its footbridges that cross over several important falls until we arrive at the San Martín fall, which offers an overview of the Brazilian falls. Later, we will go to the Canoas Port where, after 1.000 m of walkways, we will access the Garganta del Diablo, where Iguazú shows all its strength and beauty. Return to hotel.

05th December 2017: Arrival in Rio, Transfer to hotel
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, departure for the excursion Brazilian Side Waterfalls, (National Park fees are included). Departure to visit the waterfalls on the Brazilian side, from where you have a panoramic view of the Argentinian falls. We will get near the Floriano, Deodoro and Benjamín falls and walk over the Santa María fall. At noon, lunch at a typical churrasquería, which offers a variety of more than 30 cold dishes and roasted meat, as well as musical shows. After lunch (not included), transfer to the airport to board your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Reception at the airport and transfer to the chosen hotel. 

06th December 2017: Rio de Janiero
Breakfast. Departure from the hotel for a panoramic walk on the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Arrival at the      
boarding point at the train station to climb the Corcovado Hill. Upon reaching the top of Corcovado, passengers will have a panoramic view of the city "Marvelous". This tour also includes a panoramic visit to Maracanã and Sambodromo (entrance fees not included). Lunch (included), and then departure to the cablecar to the Sugar Loaf station, which climbs 395 meters above sea level. Offering a 360 degree view of the city, including the beaches of Botafogo, Copacabana, Cristo Redentor and downtown Rio. In the evening we will have a typical Brazilian dinner in one of the best churrasquerías in the city, followed by a spectacular samba show in Plataforma. Music, folk dances, colorful original costumes, authentic dancers, capoeira (mixed martial arts and acrobatics) and a surprising variety of Brazilian rhythms take viewers to an atmosphere of excitement and joy. Back to the hotel.

07th December 2017: Rio de Janeiro
Transfer to the airport in Rio de Janeiro.
