British Isles Cruise Deals

Explore the hidden delights of Scotland and Ireland on an exciting and interesting cruise to the British Isles. Starting at the southern port of Southampton, sail across to the Irish cruise port of Cork. This charming city sits perched on an island formed by the River Lee, and presents the guests with a selection of picturesque quays and bridges that paint a beautiful picture. It is also home to the famous Blarney Stone, while Cork also hosts a lively market and is surrounded by swathes of beautiful countryside.
The Irish capital Dublin is a city with a fantastic reputation worldwide, with its charm and traditional friendly welcome making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. Visitors are recommended to visit the castle and of course you should not leave without first stopping off at an Irish pub and sampling a traditional pint of Guinness, brewed locally and tasting exactly as it should taste.
Moving on to Scotland, the island of Tresco is one of five inhabited islands in the mysterious Scilly Isles, featuring an amazing variety of scenery crammed into such a small area. The north features rugged rocky outcrops and heaths, while the south is home to pleasant sandy beaches and gardens. The Orkneys are another group of quiet, beautiful Scottish islands, and they too offer miles of beach to enjoy when the weather is fine. The main town, Kirkwall, is home to a church that enjoys the rare distinction of housing a dungeon in its cathedral.
Stornoway is home to a whole host of wildlife that you will not find in many other places, including whales, dolphins, seals, puffins and otters. The western Hebrides showcase the magnificent volcanic islands of St Kilda, home to some of the highest cliffs you will find on a cruise to the British Isles.
If big, bustling cities are more your scene, Edinburgh and Glasgow are the two main cities in Scotland and you can visit both on a cruise to the British Isles. Edinburgh in particular offers many highlights, with the Scottish capital home to the awesome Edinburgh Castle, home of the crown jewels, as well as the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Old Town. Both cities can lay claim to some stunning architecture and are both great places to simply explore at your leisure.
