Alaska Cruise Deals

Experience the majesty of Alaska’s vast ice kingdom, with magnificent glacial fields sprawled across the landscape as far as the eye can see. One of the most intriguing and stunning areas in the world, the untamed wilderness of Alaska has much in store. Visitors can witness black bears fishing in the icy mountain streams, humpback whales peeping above the surface of the chilly waters and caribou herds roaming free. Alaska is one of the most unique corners of the United States, and offers an opportunity not to be missed.

The primary stop on cruise to Alaska will be the state capital Juneau, which offers amazing icy views in all directions. It is here that guests will be able to try one of the famous dogsled rides, as well as experiencing the many shore excursions such as a short hop to the Taku Glacier Lodge for some freshly grilled king salmon, after which visitors can relax by the crackling fire in the lodge and enjoy a glass of warm Russian cider. The Alaskan capital is also a premier hiking destination, with amazing discoveries to be made in the form of fabulous glacial waterfalls and the largest temperate rainforest in the state.

Another fantastic stop on a cruise from Alaska is the frontier town of Skagway, which invites guests to see an historic gold rush camp. Visitors can also look around the cabins and tents in the area, which were formerly used as everyday outlets such as bakeries and saloons. Then, move on to the wondrous tidal flats and experience the beautiful eagles circling overhead, along with an array of pretty wildflowers and glorious mountain scenery. The coastal Tracy Arm Fjord features many natural waterfalls created by melting icecaps, with trees springing up out of rocky outcrops and, if you are lucky, the occasional sighting of a black or brown bear, wolves, deer, moose, seals and even whales in the area, all viewed from the safety and comfort of your ship as you cruise leisurely through the fjord.

A particular highlight of any cruise to Alaska is a journey through the stunning inside passage, regarded as one of the most scenic sea lanes in the world. All around you, splendid green forests, imperious ice blue glaciers and historic towns make their presence felt, while the astounding Hubbard Glacier is one of the most active glaciers in the world, and is also the longest river of ice in North America.

Completing the Alaskan excursions are the port of Ketchikan, which includes a seaplane tour to the brilliant Misty Fjords National Monument, and Icy Strait Point, which is the largest native Tlingit Indian settlement in Alaska. More wildlife can be seen at the Glacier Bay National Park, such as whales, orcas, doll porpoises, seals and sea otters.
